Co-Director Chris Serson has worked at the ASC since 1997 as group leader, van driver, and pool supervisor until becoming Co-Director in 2000.
Co-Director Carolyn Sharp-Hegarty was on the first Board of Directors when ASC began. After over 25 years in the childcare field, including working as a substitute teacher off and on over the years, Carolyn rejoined the staff as a group leader 5 years ago. She became Co-Director in February of 2008 after ASC founder Leslie Hastings' retirement. Carolyn is also the DoCE for the United Methodist Church and VBS Coordinator for both the UMC and LCR.

Group Leaders
Sara McDonough has been with the ASC for over 10 years. She is currently a Room 10 Group Leader and during the summer, she is the driver and swim time supervisor. She is also a 6th grade teacher at the Kennedy Middle School.
Krystle White has worked at the ASC for the past 8 years. She has worked during the school year, summers, and as a van driver. Before working at the ASC, Krystle coached gymnastics throughout middle and high school. She also worked at the Marshall Simonds Middle School, where she is currently an 8th grade science teacher.
Beth DiDomenico is the Room 6 Group Leader. She has been at the After School Club since 2005. In 2007, she was a student teacher for First and Fourth grade at the Goodyear School in Woburn. Currently, she is a Teaching Assistant in Fourth grade at the Thompson School in Arlington. She has a special interest in helping children develop better social skills. For the past two summers, she has put together the "Homeroom" program for the ASC.
Katherine Cota is the Room 8 Group Leader. She first joined the ASC staff in January of 2008. After taking her first child development course while in college, she knew she would love to work with children. Katherine previously worked tutoring and substitute teaching in Tewksbury elementary and pre- schools, and was very excited to become a part of the ASC. She loves being able to work with this amazing group of kids. She is currently finishing her psychology degree at UMass Lowell and studying American Sign Language, hoping to work as a therapist for children in the future. In her spare time, she enjoys playing music, painting and crafts, and reading.
