ASC registration is now more convenient! You may download the required forms from this page. You may also submit tuition payment here. Initial registrations and payments must be done in person, but subsequent payments can be paid online.
For current & prior families, registration will begin on March 1, 2011. Registration opens to the general public on March 8, 2011. On Tuesday, March 8, the ASC office will be open from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. for tours and registration. Registration will continue until we are full. The registration fee, the deposit, and all forms are due at the time of registration.
Field trips
ASC tee shirts must be worn on all field trips. We have “loaner” shirts on hand (please wash and return to us) if you forget to bring one on field trip day. Extra tee shirts are available at $6 each.
Bringing in personal items (electronics, trading card toys etc)
If you give permission for your child to bring items such as iPods, CD players, MP3’s, radios, hand-held video games, trading cards, money, etc., the ASC is not responsible for them should they get lost. On field trips, since bus doors are not normally locked, we will allow them to carry their electronic gear with them in a backpack or other carrier provided by you. They may not take the items out of the backpack until they return on the bus. No cell phones can be used by children while attending the program. Please label all items that your child brings to ASC.
August 6 – 10 will be a full day summer program week.
Although there will be no field trips this week, we will be doing some of our favorite activities, like tie dying t-shirts and playing our annual kickball game at Weafer Park.
Call in absences
Please call as soon as you know if your child will not be attending. Our answering machine is always on. If we know a child is out, we call the next person on the waitlist to attend.
Snacks and lunches
We provide a morning and afternoon snack. On Munchin’ Mondays, we also provide a lunch. On Tuesday – Friday please send a no cook lunch with your child. We will send your child’s unfinished lunch home so you know what they ate for the day.

- Medication Consent - For inhalers, over the counter medications, and prescriptions other than EPI Pens (i.e antibiotics for ear infections).
- Food/Bee Allergy Action Plan - For food or bee allergies that require an EPI Pen or anti-histamine only.
- Individual Health Care Plan - This form is to be used for all chronic health conditions including: asthma, allergies that require an EPI Pen, diabetes, adrenal insufficiency, seizures, lactose intolerance that requires medication, etc.

Tuition fees and policies for the summer programs

Registration and Tuition
The non-refundable registration fee for the summer is $35 for all students. The summer fee for Non field trip days, (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) is $44 and Field trip days (Tuesday and Thursday) is $63. At the time of registration, the registration fee plus the non-refundable deposit of $10 per day must be paid.
Weekly tuition payments are due on Wednesday by 6:00pmfor the following week. Any spot not paid for by then will be offered to a child on the waiting list and a late fee of $15 will be added to the bill. The entire week’s tuition will be forfeited if this is the case. No child may attend unless the entire weekly bill has been paid in advance.
Check returns
When the bank returns a check, a $25 fee will be added to the child’s bill. The funds to cover the returned check plus the $25 are due within five days.
Late pick up
If you pick up your child after 6:00 p.m., you will be charged $1 per minute. On the 5th time, the charge will go to $5 per minuteuntil the end of the summer.
Enrollment changes:
You must give THREE WEEKS’ notice if your plans change and your child does not need care. With three weeks’ notice, you will be refunded all but the registration fee and $10 per day. Without three weeks’ notice, you will be billed for the entire tuition. The $10 deposit may not be transferred to another day. Extra days may be added when space is available, upon payment in advance. NEW – with three weeks notice, you can make one change in your schedule and not be charged the $10.00 deposit (max of 5 days). You will not receive a refund for any enrollment changes after August 6.
Wait list
If we are full and you wish your child to be placed on the waiting list, you must pay the $10 per day deposit. It will be refunded in full if we have no room for your child. This applies to families who pay in full as well as weekly payers.
Don’t forget to check to see if your wait-listed child got in for the day, before sending him or her.
Refunds: If your child will continue to attend after the time of the refund, or if you are paying weekly, your account will be credited with the proper amount. If you have paid in advance, you can request a refund after July 20 and/or at the end of you child’s time here. Your refund will be mailed to you upon confirmation of the amount by our treasurer. There are no refunds for days missed without three week’s notice.
Medical Expense
Parents are advised to carry adequate Health Insurance for their child. It is understood that the ASC is not liable for medical expenses incurred by children due to accident or illness.
